All the software that runs our websites is developed in-house.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has experience in frontend development to join our team at The Stepstone Group and enhance the job search experience for our candidates!
What you'll be focused on day to day:
- Technical Leadership: Help the team implement architectural solutions, providing expert guidance and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Look further ahead on the roadmap & backlog to identify upcoming technical challenges. Proactively take end-to-end responsibility for managing several activities and projects
- Best Practices and Adoption: Lead the implementation of high-quality coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles, while supporting and guiding the team through the integration of new technologies and frameworks.
- Upskilling and Mentoring: Actively contribute to the professional development of delivery team engineers, enabling them to excel in target technologies
- Product Influence: Exercise your influence to shape product direction and outcomes.
- Cross-Team Collaboration and Influence: Leading participates in communities and cross-team initiatives.
- International Collaboration: Cooperate with distributed teams across Europe, fostering a global collaboration mindset.
Qualificiations:
- Expert in frontend architectures and technologies: React, TypeScript, Node.js.
- Long experience in working with Next.js including v14
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Services is highly desirable.
- Proven technical leadership in complex environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication on a technical level with an understanding of business requirements if needed.
- Have deep knowledge of best practices in micro-frontend, microservices, event-driven architectures and responsive web design.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Elasticsearch & Kibana and Cloudwatch.
- Highly skilled in performance-oriented programming
- Highly skilled in modern software engineering toolchain technologies
- Highly skilled in mentorship & problem-solving
