The team’s main focus is on maintaining and extending a mechanism responsible for integrations to make job seekers’ spend less time applying to jobs by minimizing redirections, reducing repetitive data input and much more. This is done by creating API Integrations and Web Browser automations that send Job Seeker Application data to various endpoints, such as: Job Boards, Applicant Tracking Systems, and API providers that proxy Applicant Tracking Systems. Another focus for the team is extending the benefits of the integration, including a system that enables us to track the job seeker application status in the recruitment process and provide value for jobseekers, ATS’s and employers.

Your responsibilities:
- Support Team-Level Technical Initiatives: Assist in resolving team-level technical problems and contribute to the success of technical initiatives within the team.
- Contribute to the Codebase: Regularly contribute to the development and maintenance of the codebase, ensuring that both technical quality and performance standards are met. Play an active role in driving architectural decisions that align with team goals.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Managers: Work closely with engineering and product managers to understand technical implementation options. Help translate complex technical concepts into non-technical terms, ensuring that all stakeholders understand the associated risks and challenges.
- Mentor and Support Engineers: Actively engage with and support fellow engineers within your Chapter and the wider engineering team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Facilitate Engineering Maturity: Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices within the team by encouraging curiosity, innovation, and the adoption of best practices.
- Align Efforts with OKRs: Support the engineering team in meeting their objectives and key results (OKRs), and help translate these goals into a clear, actionable technical roadmap.
- Engage in Cross-Team Discussions: Participate in technical discussions across teams or domains, providing insights and solutions to address broader technical challenges.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Java 11+: Proficiency in Java with a solid grasp of design and architectural patterns.
- Spring & Spring Boot: Experience implementing applications, writing tests (JUnit, Pact), and monitoring services; comfortable working in a microservices environment.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Git, and Docker for streamlined development and deployment.
- Relational Databases: Hands-on experience with Postgres and/or MySQL, including basic performance tuning and schema design.
- Message Brokers: Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies for reliable and efficient message passing.
- AWS Services: Practical experience with core services such as RDS and ECS for scalable, resilient deployments.
- NoSQL/Document Databases: Experience using databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB, including data modeling and query optimization.
